He was predeceased by: his son Timothy Tierney; his siblings, John (Janice), Thomas, Dennis Tierney (Grace) and Linda Buss; his siblings-in-law, Virginia Zobel, Florence Platten, Geneva Streblow, Frances Woodke, Norman, Vernon, Eugene, John Platten (Jack), Bill Woodke and Donald Zobel; and his nieces and nephews, Jerry Zobel, John Bogenschutz, Jill Woodke and Sandy Platten.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Tierney (Platten); his daughters, Tammy Sampson (Greg) and Patricia Tierney; his grandchildren, Tyler, Angie, Jackie and Ben; his great grandchildren, Carson and Morgan; his siblings, Richard Tierney (Barbara) and Terrance Tierney (Vicky); and his siblings-in-law, Eva Biering, Alice Bogenschutz, Carol Platten and Mike Buss. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
