He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Sr. Merbach and Geneva Merbach (Kanter); and also, Rich and Monnie Verhagen. He is survived by: his wife Betty Merbach (Verhagen); his daughters, Jenny Rollo (Jeff) and Lisa Tesch (Clint); his stepchildren, Brian Frelich (Heidi), Kevin Frelich (Penny), Laurie Dunn (Mike) and Robby Frelich (Jenny); his grandchildren, Megan (Jordan), Jaimy (Ryan), Dylan (Jenny), Tiffany (Derek), Tyler, Kyle (Adri), Holly (Shawn), Hannah (J. R.), Kalvin, Brooke, Spencer, Jenean, Robby Jr. (Nessa) and Brandon; and his brother Rudy Jr. (Elaine). He is also survived by 2 sisters and 8 brothers; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
