He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Summers and Esther Summers (Dunst); his daughter Stacy; and his siblings, Garfield Summers, Thomas Summers, Blanche Mecikalski, Jean Nehring and Marie Young.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Bayer; his sister Margaret Drawenek; and his sister-in-law Margaret Summers. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The visitation for Mert has been postponed due to covid.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be given to a charity of choice in Mert's name.
