It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Florence McCarthy of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, born in Black Creek, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 12, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Stephani and Lorinda Stephani (Beyer); her siblings, Elvera Maroszek (Richard), Delores Strauch (Arnold), Joyce Manthei (Vern), Roselyn Mauthe, Ervin Stephani (Lavinia), Lawrence Stephani (Delores) and Jerome Stephani; her former husband Richard Merholtz; her daughter Kristine Schickling (Ray); and her husband Edward J. McCarthy.
She is survived by: her siblings, Eugene Stephani, Kathleen Fischer (James) and Laverne Cropsey (Ronald); her children, William Merholtz (Kim) and Julie Merholtz; and her grandchildren, Krista Safranski (Kent), John Merholtz and Erick Schickling. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
