He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Theodore and Emmaline (Beaulieu); his wife Lanell Postert; his children, DuWayne Gilchrist (Jeannie) of Goldsboro, NC, David Gilchrist (Terri) of Cordova, TN, Danny Gilchrist (Carla) of Plover, Cindy Koss (Kelly) of Algoma, Cheryl Whitlow (Rob) of Glasgow, KY and Cathy Heltsley (Russ) of Bowling Green, KY.; his brother Charles Gilchrist (Carol); his brother-in-law Kenneth Postert (Dorothy); and his siblings, Ted, Gordon Gilchrist, Dorothy Backstrum and Viola Hoover. He was also cherished by fifteen grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Wayne's name.
