He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Dinter and Joannie Van Dinter (Schermitzler); his brother Calvin Van Dinter; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Higgins, Ricky Higgins and Randy Higgins.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Higgins; his children, Donn Van Dinter Jr., Ashley Pagan and Courtney Carothers (Ken); his grandchildren, Lacey and Garrett Carothers; his sister Diane Jansen (Dave); his parents-in-law, Jenny and George Higgins; and his siblings-in-law, Darwin Higgins (Dawn), Brian Higgins and Debbie Higgins. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
