He was predeceased by: his father Donald Basten; and his uncles, Leo, Norbert (Betty), Francis and Ronald Basten.
He is survived by: his mother Janice Basten (Phillips); his wife Stacy Birnschein; his daughters, Rachel and Elizabeth Basten; his sisters, Michelle Basten, Tina Schmidt (Tom) and Sheri Evans; his parents-in-law, Richard and Patty Birnschein; his brother-in-law Kevin Birnschein (Olga); and his nieces and nephews, Abigail, Bailey, Katelyn, Emily, Marcus, Adrienne, Grady, Alex, Aubrey, Eli, Anastasia and Victoria. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Craig's name for cancer research.
