He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Doering and Lorraine Doering (Olive); his wife Sharon "Sheri" Doering; his former wife Mary; his daughter Nicole Doering; his brother Ken Doering; his brother-in-law Robert Van Wychen; and also, Peter, Henrietta Van Wychen, George and Audrey Noie.
He is survived by: his close friends, Ricky and Ron Kelly; his son Eric Doering (Megan); his grandchildren, Jack, Ben Doering and Cassandra Bertrand; his stepchildren, Aericka Helf and Brian Helf (Susan); his stepgrandson Joseph Helf; his siblings, Pat Van Zeeland (Tony), Donna Besaw (Denny), David Doering (Pat), Bob Doering, Gary Doering (Barb), Dan Doering (Abby) and Tom Doering (Carolyn); and his nephews, Brian Van Wychen, Greg and Todd Doering. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established with donations being forwarded to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
