He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Bowers; his daughter-in-law Pam Bowers; his parents, Henry Bowers and Cecilia Bowers; his siblings, Larry Bowers (Ann), Lorraine Shillcox (Jim), Millie Lamers (Roy), Lloyd Bowers, Norman Bowers, Arlene Blair (Cletus) and Mary Hermus (Joe); and his parents-in-law, Eleanor Bowers, Bonnie Kersten and Jim Jaeckels.
He is survived by: his children, Construction, Dean Bowers, Dale Bowers (Sue), Don Bowers (Lori) and Lorie Beyer (Mike); his grandchildren, Nicole Blaskowski (Jon), Ashley Van Straten (Jake), Charlie Bowers, Brian Mauthe, Kelly Hoppe (Matt) and Ryan Blaser (Jenny); his great grandchildren, Maison, Harper, Van, Claire, Carley, Libby, Rosie, Audrey, Celia, Lincoln, Evy and Theodore; his siblings, Bud Bowers and Roseanne Bastian (Bob); and his parents-in-law, Margaret Bowers, Mary Jane Bowers, Ray Kersten, Bob Kersten (Mary), Mike Kersten (Carrie), Charlotte Bloy (Junior), Marian Zwick, Joan Jaeckels and Betty Kersten. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his name.
