He is survived by: his significant other Barb Dalton; his children, William Hayes Jr., Robert Hayes and Susan Duerst (Rick); his grandchildren, Zachary Duerst and Brooke Duerst; his sister Julie (Merritt); his aunt Veronica; his grandchild Sharyl Hayes; and also, Betty, JoEllyn (Mike) and Tom (Rhonda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carbone Cancer Center or Agrace Hospice.
