He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Davis and Bessie Davis (Fehr); his son Tom Davis; and his siblings, Harold, Burton, Clyde, Delton, Duane "Joe", Betty Borden and Mary Lou Nowatzki.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Davis; his children, Dan Davis (Judy) of Rockton, IL, Scott Davis (Kristi) of Juda, Penny Ramos (Cruz) of Juda, Bill Davis (Traci) of Juda and Mary Legler (Anthony Antonio) of Stoughton; and his grandchildren, Laura Bambrick (Matt), Jeff Davis (Gwendolyn), David Davis (Melissa), Todd Davis, Lyn Ramos, Jacob Ramos, Amber Ramos, Tyler Davis, Tabatha Davis, Trent Davis, Evan Legler and Brycen Antonio. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Dale's name to Oakley Union Church or Oakley Union Cemetery.
