He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Drown and Alice Drown. He is survived by: his siblings, James, Donny and Alice; his wife June Anderson; his sons, Douglas Drown (Joan) and David Drown (Kate Melcher); his grandchildren, Jane Bemis (Tom Burns), Jesse Wilcox (Chrissy), Katie Punzel (Kacie), Aaron Melcher (Kathy Marulanda) and Nathan Dills; and his great grandchildren, Chase Wilcox and Lacey Wilcox. He is also survived by two nephews and a niece in Germany; as well as other relatives and friends.
