She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Gallot and Lucille Gallot (Malinowski); her husband Donald William Bruns; her parents-in-law, Ward and Tracy Bruns; and her brother Richard Gallot.

She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Rode (Mark) of Hustisford, Regina Hohmann (Randall) of Johnson Creek, Celesta Lanigan (Sean) of Waterloo, Diana Klusken (Wallace) of Watertown, Clarissa Kraus (John) of Jefferson, Lucilla Klein (Daniel) of Watertown and Marcella Trader (Scott) of Jefferson; her grandchildren, Victoria Stevens (Ben), Benjamin Rode, Connor, Cortney, Cuinn Lanigan, Ashley, Brady, Catey Bruns, Marshall, Marcus, Marilyn Klein, John, Johannah Kraus and Jakob; her great grandchild Booker Patrick Stevens; and her adoptive sons, Michael Hedrick (Jenifer) and David Steinle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Marilyn's name to Rainbow Hospice Care (Jefferson Wi), St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and Watertown Humane Society.
