Donald Battenberg Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Battenberg of Johnson Creek, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Donald and Bernice Battenberg (Gilbert); his brother Jay Dee Battenberg; and his siblings-in-law, Peggy Battenberg and Jim Swanson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Jody Knoebel (Steve) of Helenville, David Battenberg (Shelly) of Clintonville and Steven Battenberg (Debbie) of Reeseville; and his grandchildren, Jessica Wellsandt (Tyler), Lindsay Baneck (Eric), Libby Hafften (Ryan), Morgan Persha (Blake), Emmet Battenberg, Jacob Battenberg (Emily), Ashley Battenberg, Samantha Battenberg and Andrew Battenberg. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lake Mills United Methodist Church (271 E Prospect St, Lake Mills, WI 53551). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Don's name may be made to the Johnson Creek Education Foundation or the charity of your choice.
