He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorwin and Beatrice; his siblings, Ione Koscielniak (Joe), Vonnie Creaser (Charles), Merle Rossman (James), Roberta Couillard and Vernon Persteiner; his son Steve Siehndel; and his granddaughter Amanda Mengel.

He is survived by: his spouse Jan (Siehndel); his children, Kim Mengel (Gene), Jason Couillard (Traci), Mike Costa (Brittany), Heather Roskres (Ryan) and Krista Siehndel; and his siblings, Rod Couillard and Ardis Persteiner. He is also survived by 16 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren.
