He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Klauer and Ruth Klauer (Todd). He is survived by: his wife Janet Kornstedt (Kornstedt); his children, Amy Christian (Brian), Chad Klauer (Chris), Todd Klauer (Heather), Brian Klauer (Mandie) and Tami Klauer; his grandchildren, Adam Harpster (Lauren Harmon) of Ben Harpster, CJ, Kiley Nicholson (Cody), Nash Christian, Maren Christian, Brayden Klauer, Maddie Klauer and Quincy Klauer; his great grandchildren, Tessie Harpster and Maisie Nicholson; his siblings, Roger Klauer (Barb) and Karen (Al Behlke); and his sister-in-law Virginia Klauer.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home (221 S Center Ave, Jefferson, WI 53549). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church (w4875 US-18, Jefferson, WI 53549).
