She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Neipert and Grace Neipert (Walther); her husband Francis Schakelman of Farmington; and her sister Margaret Wedl (Paul). She is survived by: her children, Gary Schakelman (Sheridan) of Madison, Kenneth Schakelman (Tamara) of Jefferson and Cynthia Radtke (John) of Jefferson; her grandchildren, Justin Schakelman (Melissa), Chad Schakelman (Brooke), Danielle Cowley (Jared), Jessica Punzel (Joshua) and Zachary Schakelman; her stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Linse (Christy) of Marc Linse, T. J. and Michael Linse (Mary Grace); her great grandchildren, Kensley, Calder, Beckett Schakelman, Leighton, Maliyah Cowley, Leland Schakelman and Jack Schakelman; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Max Linse, Sam Hebbe, Oliver, Nora Grace, Hannah Linse, Thomas Linse, Brodey Hunt and Finn Crystal; and her sister-in-law Jane Lehmann. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
