George V. Hilby Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George V. Hilby of Jefferson, Wisconsin, born in Hokah, Minnesota, who passed away on February 4, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentine Hilby and Anna Hilby (Meier); his wife Joanne Hilby; and his siblings, Roland Hilby (Jo), Valentine Hilby (Mary Ann), Mary Weiner, Irene Weinzirl (Wayne) and Alice Hilby.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Hilby (Jean) of Friendship, James Hilby (Heidi) of Mequon, Patricia Filak (James) of Rockford, IL and Dennis Hilby (Ae Kyong) of Dayton, OH; his grandchildren, Robert Hilby II (Stacie), Samantha Peterson (Benjamin), Jacob Sheely (Emily), Andrew Sheely (Ashley), Breanna Kopitzke (Benjamin), Brandon Hilby (Carly), Sarah Hilby, Erin Stoffregen (Brandon), Rachel Claudin (Steven), Alec Filak (Meghan), Rebecca Pronschinske (Matthew), Susan Johnson (Brandon) and Steven Hilby (Rebecca); his great grandchildren, Lucas, Nathan, Charlotte, Emerson, Augustin, Catherine, Robert III, Joshua, Avery, Natalie, Jackson, Soren, Josephine, Charlie, Peter, Myles, Carter, Olivia, Zachary and Juliette; his brothers, Walter Hilby (Mae), David Hilby (Polly) and Kenneth Hilby (Nancy); his siblings-in-law, Gloria Habhegger (John), Sharon Weiner, Paul Weiner and Chuck Larson; and his great grandchildren, Everett Hilby, Marie Filak, Rory Filak and Max Peterson. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
