It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith M. DeFraties of Jefferson, Wisconsin, born in Byron, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Steele and Viola Steele (Andersen); her husband William DeFraties; her children, Debra Lauder (Gordon) of Madison, Dawn Berge (Gary) of Apache Junction, AZ and Dean DeFraties (Penny) of Florence, SC; her brothers, Burton and Jack Steele; and her brother-in-law Jack Principe.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Adam, Jessica, Sara, Kyle, Monica and Joshua; and her siblings, Clinton Steele (Sandra) and Margaret Principe. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
