He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bold and Millie Bold (Waddell); his wife Karlene Major; and his brothers, James (Jimmy) and Douglas (Doug).
He is survived by: his daughter JoEllen Soerens (Thomas) of St. Charles, IL; his grandchildren, Brandon (Madeline) of Lake Villa, IL, Kyle (Lauren) of Davison, MI and Andrea (Jeremy Simon) of DeKalb, IL; his great grandchildren, Damon, Hayley, Clarissa (Brandon) and Lilly (Kyle); and his sister Eudoris Peterson (Lloyd). He is also survived by six nephews, and nine nieces.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Apfel Wolfe Funeral Home (21 S Austin Rd, Janesville, WI 53548). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Skaalen Nursing Home, 400 North Morris, Stoughton, WI 53589 with the words 'Activity Department' noted.
