She was predeceased by: her grandfathers, Donovan Steig and Leland Pettis; and her stepmother Carol Pettis. She is survived by: her parents, Kenneth Pettis and Ellen Steig; her significant other Keith Sherfinski (K. C.); her children, Lidia and Tait; her sister Beth Hawthorne (Mike); her nieces and nephews, Emily and Abbie; her stepbrother Jerry Boerst (Julie); her grandmothers, Alice Steig and Betty Pettis; her parents-in-law, Rose and Bruce Nelson; her brother-in-law Brian Sherfinski (Julie); and also, Jessica, Jarrod, Shelley Koehn (Tim), Curtis, Mason, Diane Koenig, Karlie, Stacy Strahota (Tom) and Madi. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for Lidia & Tait's college education, which will be set up at Blackhawk Community Credit Union.
