She is survived by: her father Cyril Elsinger (Lois); her children, Ashley Hartlaub (Shawn), Jeffrey Hohmann (Ashley) and Jeremy Hohmann (Martha); her grandchildren, Naomi, Emma, Sam, Isabella, Noah, Scarlett, Caleb, Briella and Esme; her siblings, Jim Elsinger (Pam), Bruce Elsinger (Amie), Dave Elsinger, Linda Hermon (Pedro) and Mark Elsinger (April); and her fiancés, David Dransfield and Wendy Taylor (Fiore).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Susan's name to Disabled American Veterans at dav.org.

“A few years ago, the respiratory therapy department moved to the same area of the hospital that my department is located. That is when I met Sue. I would see her nearly every day and she helped me a few times sort out questions a mutual patient had about their respiratory clinic visit. I will remember her for her cheerful, upbeat attitude and can-do spirit. She really was a pleasant, caring person who made the world a much better place.”
