She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Schumacher and Harriett Schumacher (Smith); her husband Donald Wachlin; her niece Paula Crompton; and her friend Rose Manz Brown.
She is survived by: her sister Diane Crompton; her nieces, Rae Ann Galloway (Gary Matteson), Sue Huber and Patti Raufman (Bruce); and her nephew Michael Crompton.
Memorials may be made in Shirley's name to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin.
