He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ludwig and Emma Ludwig (Schmid); and his grandson Nick Bartel. He is survived by: his children, Susan Ludwig (Richard Winger), Judy Scott (Todd), John Ludwig (Beth Graf) and Cindy Wright (Dan); his grandchildren, Luke, Jake, Danielle, Keith, Ronnie, Cameron and Connor; and his siblings, Wayne "Geno" Ludwig (Karen), Richard Ludwig and Karlyn Koenen. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
