We are sad to announce that on December 30, 2024, at the age of 85, Richard P. Nelson of Janesville, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Nelson and Elsie Mitchell Nelson; his stepmother Valeria Nelson; his siblings, Bernard, Rita and Gordon; his parents-in-law, Leslie Howell and Arlene Howell (Jim Riley); and his stepbrother Dan Davis (Shirley).
He is survived by: his wife Judy Howell; his children, DuWayne Nelson (Nancy), Denise Clobes (Warren) and Debra Jones (Bob); his grandchildren, Brandon Nelson (Jessica), Casey Clobes, Jacob Nelson, Amanda Kirchner (Jake), Erik Nelson (Elysa) and Alexis Olson (TJ); his great grandchildren, Kylie, Robby, Haylee, Jep, Henry, Addison, Arkin, Mila, Elsie and Nora; his sister Nancy Sly of Alabama; and his siblings-in-law, Janet Coleman, Joan Glass Huisman (Ken) and Rodney Howell (Roxanne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vosseteig Larson Funeral Home (123 W Decker St, Viroqua, WI 54665). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
