With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard A. Flanagan of Janesville, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 16, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his stepfather Helmer Utterberg; and his siblings, Russell Reuter and Mary Jo Fraunfelder. He is survived by: his wife Nancy L. Kutz; his children, Allen Flanagan (Jennifer Kodish) of Dunlap, TN, Lisa Kilmer-Lexa (Mark) of Arlington, TX and Jeff Flanagan (Patty Van Keer) of Westerly, RI; his grandchildren, Tyler, Katie Sue Kilmer, Matt and Wendy Flanagan; and his siblings, Gerald Flanagan (Sandy) of Brookfield, Gary Utterberg (Bonita) of Janesville, Marie Severing (Richard) of Janesville, Carol Manthei (Timothy) of Kenosha and Patricia Gmeinder (Steven) of Hartland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Apfel Wolfe Funeral Home (21 S Austin Rd, Janesville, WI 53548). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
