He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole J. Strand and Marie Strand (Vinger); and his sister Dorothy Bollerud. He is survived by: his wife Helen J. Gratton; his son Richard R. Strand (Sharon); and his nieces, Betty Nelson and Patricia Mueller.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church Foundation or Cedar Crest Foundation.
