He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer Nyhus and Hazel Nyhus (Hansen); his wife Barbara Volden; his siblings, David Nyhus and Dorothy Oium (Milan); his son-in-law William Legg; and his in-laws, Hjalmer and Palma Volden.
He is survived by: his children, Sheri Legg, Daniel Nyhus and Scott Nyhus (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Nathan Legg (Crystal), Danelle Legg, Stacy Nyhus, Laura Schultz (Terry), Joshua Nyhus, James Nyhus (Katie), Jeremy Nyhus (Elizabeth), Dan Cullen (Stephanie), Kellie Kahle (Scott) and Shawn Cullen (Jessica); his siblings-in-law, Robert Volden and Debra Keenlance; and his friends, Eve Tomten, Julie Hartwich and Jeff Lloyd (Adele). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
