He was predeceased by: his brother Josiah Elijah Wendt; his aunts, Jean Lee and Kathy Leahy; his cousin Greg Krueger; and his grandparents, Ervin, Viola Wendt, Ilene, Frank Leahy, Ray and Dorothy Selvog.

He is survived by: his parents, Gene Wendt and Jacqueline Wendt (Selvog); his siblings, Marie Brokmeier (John) and Donald Wendt (Heather); and his aunts and uncles, Janet Krueger (Gary), Jerry Selvog (Darlene), Karen Krug (Jim) and Evelyn Urban (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
