He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Stelter and Marvel V. Stelter (Hoffert); and his siblings, William, Robert, Donald, Duane, Alton, La Vern, Eugene, Lester, Dale, Lorraine, Betty, Violet, Vivian, Mary Lou, Loane, Darlene and Margaret.
He is survived by: his wife Hilda Stelter; his children, Rebecca Haefner (Todd), Tom Stelter (Seena), Cyndi Dorsey (Shawn) and Jennifer Hoch (Jared); his grandchildren, Ethan Haefner, James Stelter, Raina Stelter, Jacob Dorsey, Allison Dorsey, Lauren Dorsey, Camren Hoch (Sarah), Alayna Hoch and Katelynn Hoch; and his brother Bruce Stelter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Nativity of Mary Catholic Church (313 E Wall St, Janesville, WI 53545). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Nativity of Mary Parish (313 E Wall St, Janesville, WI 53545). An entombment was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery (1827 N Washington St, Janesville, WI 53548).
