It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald R. Schaffner of Janesville, Wisconsin, born in Hanover, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schaffner and Lilian Schaffner (Raymond); his wives, Barbara Schaffner and Arlene Hageman Schaffner of Janesville; his daughter Phyllis Wisniewski; his sister Elda Ehrlinger; his brother-in-law Pete Ehrlinger; his nieces, Pauleen Dunn and Ruth Tolken; his nephew Chris Olsen; and his son-in-law Dick Wisniewski.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Schaffner (Kathe), George Schaffner and Peter Schaffner (Patty); and his grandchildren, Sara, Tom, Stefanie, John, Carrie, Lindsay, Catherine and Theodore. He is also survived by 12 great grand-children.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to either Agrace Hospice or to the Gifts Men's Shelter, both of Janesville.
