He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Goldsmith and Marie Goldsmith (Busker); and his siblings, Wayne Goldsmith, Foster Goldsmith, Letha Rasmussen (Goldsmith), Belva Richter (Goldsmith), Irene Jenson (Albrecht), Dorothy Marie Leppla (Albrecht), Rosemary Ronan (Albrect) and William Albrecht.

He is survived by: his children, Daniel Goldsmith (Lauren), Jason Goldsmith and Jillian Aaron Jordan (Goldsmith); his grandchildren, Samantha Goldsmith (Andrew Sears), Aidan and Stuart Goldsmith; his former wife Donna J. Goldsmith; and his brother-in-law James Leppla. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
