He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald R. Churchill and Ella Churchill (Teal); his wife Delores R. Osmond; his daughter Kathy Punzel; his granddaughter Kara Churchill; and his siblings, Roger Churchill, Dale Churchill and Donna Ehret.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Wimmer of Janesville and Mike Churchill of Brodhead; his son-in-law Allen Punzel of Janesville; his grandchildren, Michael Wimmer (Jennifer), Paul Wimmer, Jill Trumpy (Phil) and Jordan Churchill; his great grandchildren, Nicholas Wimmer (Jennifer), Lucas Wimmer (Chelsea), Sarah Williams (Ryan), Emma Trumpy, Joseph Trumpy and Ryan Trumpy; and his great great grandchild Olivia Wimmer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.
