It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Earl Fugate of Janesville, Wisconsin, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 14, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Fugate and Faye Fugate (Brenneman); his siblings, Stephen, Doug, Kathryn, Mary Beth and Martha; his in-laws, Bud and Jean Schwartzlow; his sister Lana; and his brother-in-law David Van Galder.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Fugate (Schwartzlow); his sons, Allen (Jamie) and Scott (Hany); his grandchildren, Alex, Carter, Aris and Jax; his great grandchild Leilani of Janesville; his siblings, Tom Fugate, Faye "Sue" Fugate, Sandy Northey (Michael), Rich Fugate (Darcy), John Fugate (Vicki) and Jane; and his brother-in-law Blaine Vance. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored to accept donations toward a scholarship to support high school students entering the trades or to PBS Wisconsin.
