He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Ehlke (Grueneberg) and Emil Ehlke; his wife Florence C. Fick; his son-in-law Paul Svien; and his brothers, Chester, Delbert and Roger.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kimberly Ehlke, Mark Ehlke (Annette), Melissa DeRuiter (Michael), Sarah Kurbis (Caleb), Branden Wenzel (Jessica), Kilah Kichura (Kyle), Jessica, Brittany and Derek Svien (Bri); and his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Ehlke and Judie Ehlke. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
