He was predeceased by: his parents, William Loeffler and Alvina Loeffler (Klepp); his sister Eleanor; his brother-in-law Lester Buechs; his parents-in-law, Harlan and Esther Sauer; and his brother-in-law Marvin Behnke.
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Sandra Sauer; his wife Sandy; his children, Amy Hansen (Jody) and Andy (Colleen); his grandchildren, Riley Hansen, Grace and Ellie; and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Behnke, Geri Siewert and Steve Siewert.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to David's Star Lutheran Church or to Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School are appreciated.
