He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold and Marcella Kersten Sr.; and his brother-in-law Elliott Hull. He is survived by: his wife Christa Kersten; his sons, Eric Kersten (Yulia) and Alan Kersten (Julie); his grandsons, Noah Kersten and Adam Kersten; and his siblings, Patricia Russell (James), Mary McWherter (David), Linda Hull and Timothy Kersten (Carol). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
