He was predeceased by: his parents, Terry Hefko and Elizabeth "Betty" Hefko (Gustafson); his brother-in-law Thomas Smith; his niece Krysten Hefko; and his parents-in-law, Orville and Beatrice Hughes.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Collins (Michael), Zeke Hefko, Matthew Hefko (Jennifer) and Benjamin Hefko; his grandsons, Brenden Collins (Sarah) and Vincent Hefko-Allee; and his siblings, Richard Hefko (Kathy), Thomas Hefko, Mary Smith, Elizabeth "Lizz" Koenig (Charles), David Hefko (Nancy) and Robert Hefko. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
