She was predeceased by: her parents, George Burns and Catherine Burns (Werner); her husband Harry; her son Tom Giefer; her grandson Chad Gehring; and her siblings, James, Robert Burns, Jaquie Colwell and Diane Zumpano.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Gehring (John) of Wild Rose, Dave Giefer (LuAnn) of New London, Robert (Suzzann) of Waupaca, Donald Giefer of Waupaca and Tricia Meverden (Aaron) of Waupaca; and her sister Jill Coats of Racine. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
