With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jay M. Pethke of Iola, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 20, 2025 at the age of 60. He was predeceased by: his father Walter Pethke; his father-in-law Gerald Reeck; his nephews, Ryan Pethke and Austin Reeck; and his great-nephew Kendrick Schmandt.
He is survived by: his mother Elaine Pethke (Bestul); his son Jeremy Pethke (Samantha); his wife Cindy (Reeck) of Mark's Lutheran Church; his daughters, Heather Arndt (Dennis) and Brittany; his grandchildren, Joseph, Aaron, Matthew Pethke, Devin Arndt and Stella; his siblings, Wally Pethke (Bonny), Dale Pethke (Joyce), Mary Bauer (Steve), Sally Raisler (Bruce) and Tom Pethke; his uncles, Marvin Pethke (June) and James Bestul; his aunt Ardella Pethke (Arthur); his mother-in-law Bernice Reeck (Knapp); and his siblings-in-law, Debbie Schmandt (Dale), Lori Dillenburg (Steve), Greg Reeck (Jamie), Jeff Reeck, Randy Reeck, Ronnie Reeck (Lori) and Mike Reeck (Anne). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Mark Lutheran Church (N7534 Church St, Manawa, WI 54949).
