She was predeceased by: her husband Wilbur "Buddy" Rice; her sisters, Vera Kitzman and Bernice Kitzman; and her siblings-in-law, Blanche Peterson, Dolly Connley and Russell Rice.

She is survived by: her children, Diane Rice of New London and Gary Rice (Cory) of Iola; her grandsons, Steven Rice and Jonathan Koepler; her brother Bernard Kitzman (Izzy) of Waupaca; and her nieces and nephews, Tammy, Tommy, Suzie, Reynold, Carolyn and Mary Jane.
