He was predeceased by: his parents, Roman Sura and Rose Sura (Kampa); his son Steven Sura; and his brother Marcel Sura. He is survived by: his wife Janice Sura (Castad); his children, Kathleen Schumacher (James) of Niceville, FL and Kari Ptacin (Thomas) of Roscoe, IL; his grandchildren, Kyle Schumacher (Julie), Krista Campbell (Ben), Thomas Ptacin and Anna Ptacin; his great grandchildren, Ryan, Ashton and Grace; and his sister Patricia Rumpel (Charles) of Eau Claire, WI..
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery (36100 Osseo Rd, Independence, WI 54747). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church (36100 Osseo Rd, Independence, WI 54747).
