With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry James Courter (Independence, Wisconsin), born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on March 18, 2019 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Courter and Dollie Courter; and his brothers, Frank, Sam, Pat and Joe.
He is survived by: his wife Caren of Columbia; his children, Neal (Cam) and Lisa Caldwell (Greg) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Matthew Caldwell of Overland Park, KS and Natalie Caldwell of Columbia; and his siblings, Helen Sims of Kansas City, KS, Rosemary Anderson (Roger) of Lenexa, KS and Leo Courter (Mary Esther) of Independence. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
