He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Schank and Dorothy Schank (Wicka); his daughter Jean Therese; his siblings, Rita Zoromski (Rudy), Mary Ann Hergenreder (Tony), Allen and Henry; and his nephew Darren Zoromski.

He is survived by: his wife Marion Servais; his children, James (Charlene) of Bayfield, CO, Joseph (Julie) of Independence, Rick (Lisa) of Kenosha and Cheryl Padula of Whitehall; his siblings, Willard Schank (Celeste) of Independence, Donald Schank of Independence, Elaine LeGare (Greg) of Osseo and Celine Brandon of Stillwater, MN; and his sister-in-law Sharon Schank of Altoona. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Grandview Care Center and Assisted Living.
