He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Helen Smith (Koski) and Wilbert Rudolph Smith; and his brother Gerald Newman (Sonny). He is survived by: his wife Sherry Smith of Hurley; and his brothers, Ronald Smith (Nancy) of Fargo and Ray Smith (Donna) of Saxon. He is also survived by many friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Memorial Service will be held at a later date in the summer.
