He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sauter and Caroline Sauter (Zimmerman); his former wife Ruth (Peterson); his wife Doris (Anderson); and his siblings, Joseph Sauter and Gretchen Peterson.
He is survived by: his children, Ken Sauter (Alice), Dave Sauter (Barb) and Carol Jacobsen; his grandchildren, Michelle Stenzel (Matt), Marika Patterson (Nathan) and Dan Jacobsen (Abby); his brothers, John Sauter (Carolyn), David Sauter (Joanne) and Dick Sauter (Karen); his sisters-in-law, Jean Mrdjenovich and Helen Erickson; and his stepchildren, Jim Anderson (Kathy), Lanny Anderson (Gail) and Gayle Anderson (Al). He is also survived by four step-grandsons; ten step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
