He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Jewell and Donna Jewell (Smith); his siblings, Calvin, Dwight and Lois; and his son David.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn (Lofstrom); and his siblings, Murel Jewell (Cheryl), Valera Turnquist (Arlen) and Clarice Holmquist (Phil).
