It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul R. Vandersteen (Hudson, Wisconsin), who passed away on May 12, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Richard and Mabel Clare Vandersteen (Tybering); and his grandsons, Lucas and Jacob Hennies. He is survived by: his wife Bette; his children, Dr. David Vandersteen, Dr. Daniel Vandersteen, Peter Vandersteen and Rachel Hennies (Michael); his grandchildren, Melissa, Micah, Elyse, Daniel, Maxwell, Caleb, Rudy Vandersteen, Soren, Oden and Annika Hennies; his stepgranddaughter Madison Thomas; his daughters-in-law, Victoria Vandersteen (Haffner), Susan Vandersteen (Olson), Naomi Vandersteen (Thomas) and Julie Flicker; and his cousins, Cecelia Kothe and Richard Nelson (Vivian).
He faithfully engaged in multiple weekly Zoom Bible Studies despite COVID, cancer progression, and chemotherapy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bethel Lutheran Church, Hope Lutheran Church (Fargo, ND), or the American Lung Association.
