He was predeceased by: his father Hud Gelein; his sister Marit Gelein; and his grandfather Robert Becker. He is survived by: his daughters, Mckinley, Mariana and Gabby; the mother of his children Wendy; his mother Pam Gelein; his stepmother Anne Gelein; and his grandmother Laverne Becker. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be distributed to Gelein Field in Eau Claire, WI, the Green Bay Packers Foundation or other causes according to his wishes.
