He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Jerry Johnson; his brother-in-law Ferdie Krenz; and his parents, Stuart Adams and Lillian Adams (Schmidt). He is survived by: his wife Georgia Grinager; his children, Julie Clegg (Malcolm), Nancy Johnson, Eric Adams (Betty) and Paul Adams (Patti); his grandchildren, Steven Clegg (Ola), Jamie Clegg (Estera), Rachel Zaprawa (Pavel), Claudia Johnson, Robbie Adams (Kait), Ericka Gannon (Justin), Erin Hargrove (Bryce), Cailin Ashfield (Phil), Riley Adams (Megan) and Braden Adams (Emma); his sister Betty Krenz; and his child Jerry. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Gillette Children's Hospital or to Bethel Lutheran Church.
